Terra"s Story:
Terra is a great girl who loves to be with people she knows well and needs to be in a home without children. She loves to lie in pools in the summer and run around with other dogs. She loves to fall asleep on your lap and would be a great dog for a quiet home with room to run. Terra is a happy girl whose crooked smile and goofy ears can melt your heart.
Requirements:
The adopter must understand her stranger danger issues and understand how to work with this behavior. A minimum of 6 visits to the shelter is required where you will spend time with her, the staff who works the closest with her, and the Director of Enrichment and Behavior and/or our Behaviorist. This requirement is important to ensure that Terra has the safest and most successful adoption possible. With many dogs who exhibit a fear of people, it is crucial to understand the correct way of introducing people she doesn’t know and/or managing the environment to avoid any unwanted introductions. Terra will need continued behavior modification which could ultimately help her overcome her fear of strangers.
