Capone's Personality:

I'm Capone and I have the biggest smile ever! I'm a laid back happy kind of guy. I'm looking for a special someone who can take time to understand me. I need plenty of time to warm up to people but once I have I will give you endless smiles and kisses. I need someone who can give me confidence and allow me to take it slow with new visitors. I do warm up to women faster than men. I do enjoy another dogs company! In the yard I enjoy sniffing around playing ball and running with my canine friends. I love taking a splash in the kiddie pools too! I even am good with cats. I'm extremely smart and know many tricks I'd love to show you! I'm also a fantastic walker with a harness and enjoying taking in my surroundings. If your that special someone would you please come give me a visit!

Requirements:

The adopter must understand Capone's fear of strangers and understand how to work with this behavior. A minimum of 6 visits to the shelter is required where you will spend time with him, the staff who works the closest with him, and the Director of Enrichment and Behavior and/or our Behaviorist. This requirement is important to ensure that Capone has the safest and most successful adoption possible. With many dogs who exhibit a fear of people, it is crucial to understand the correct way of introducing people he doesn’t know and/or managing the environment to avoid any unwanted introductions. Capone will need continued behavior modification which could ultimately help him overcome his fear of strangers.

He prefers woman over most men.

If you are interested in Capone, meet the requirements, and are willing to take the time to get to know him please contact Animal Care Sanctuary at 570-596-2200.
