Why are they called "Under Dogs"?
Animal Care Sanctuary Under Dogs are pups that need a special home with an experianced handler that can provide continual behavior modification.

eAnimal Care Sanctuary is a No-Kill, Not-for-Profit animal shelter with an average of 50 canine residents.
This website was specifically designed to help dogs at our shelter who need owners that are more experienced and have worked with dogs that need patience, work, and love. ACS has a main website that has more information about the ACS, other dogs, and other animals.
While the Canine Care staff works diligently every day with each dog to help prepare them for homes, they spend any extra time working with the long time residents. These are dogs that have been here for quite awhile due to bite histories and behavior issues. The fact is, we love these dogs and know, that in the right home with the right guidance and continued support from ACS, these dogs would flourish in a home setting.
So whats the problem?
There are not a ton of people knocking on our door wanting to adopt a dog with a bite history and even less people with the experiance needed to adopt a dog like this.
This site is dedicated to the dogs we love to help them tell their story and find their forever homes.
